Division
of Pediatric Endocrinology provides diagnostic and therapeutic services,
educational and scientific research activities in a full spectrum of endocrine
problems (including growth and developmental retardation, diabetes mellitus,
thyroid and adrenal disorders, sexual differentiation and pubertal disorders,
pituitary diseases, calcium and bone metabolic disorders, obesity, Turner
syndrome etc) for infants, children, and adolescents. Dynamic endocrine test
procedures are performed in the Sub-Department.
Family and patient education is a part of routine patient care. Intensive
treatment and a close follow-up model is conducted in children with diabetes.
Other activities of the Sub-Department are newborn hypothyroidism screening
program, clinical research projects focused on growth factors, obesity, thyroid
disorders, Vitamin D and type 1 diabetes, and contribution of postgraduate
education in scientific meetings. The Sub-Department’s close collaboration with
international centers enables best available diagnostic and treatment options
in certain rare endocrine problems.

fellowship program is available for pediatricians.
